"Plaza Park" of Kerman California

One of the oldest currently existing features of Kerman is its oval shaped park on the southern end of town.  Madera Avenue runs along both sides of the park and then comes back together to form one road.  Nearly 100 years later the park is still here and its palm trees have grown tall.

In the old photo below notice the Kerman Times building on the left, the Kerman Hotel center left which was recently torn down, and the hitching posts for horses on either side of the Kerman sign.

The Kerman News wrote an article in June, 2003 about the improvement and rededication of the "Veterans Plaza Park."  (Click here to read article)
